Dance like nobody's watching; love like you've never been hurt; sing like nobody's listening.
-Mark Twain

Great stuff, there. I learned long ago that the baseline of truly being yourself is to not care about how others look at you. Because of this, I happily threw out my 'Man Card' years ago - tore it into little bits. I have no patience for "macho crap." If I make a stupid mistake, I laugh about it, even tell everyone about it.. "Heh! You won't BELIEVE the stupid thing I did the other day... "

BLOG

No, I don't have a eblog/blog. I have, however, been riting my own personal life views, thoughts, dreams, happenings, etc in an MS Word journal for the last almost-11 years ow! I would recommend this to everyone! 've learned so much about myself by just going back and literally reading my mind in the past. will not be putting my journal upon the web, owever; I do not feel justified in "airing out my dirty laundry," s it were. fter all, it contains all manners of personal thoughts, pinions, and activities 've done with and about others who might not be so excited to see their name and what they've done on the web for all to see. I do have a Myspace page.. kinda. I don't put near as much into it as Matt does, though.

Things About Me

How to describe me? Lemme 'splain... No, there is too much; lemme sum up: Graphic Artist, Software Engineer, Master's Degree (Computer Science/Software Engineering), Capricorn, Creative, Intelligent, Fiscally Conservative but Socially not, Strongly In-Touch with my Feminine Side But Not Gay, Gay-Rights Supporter, Pro-Choice, Anti-Prejudice, Follows in the Footsteps of Jesus Christ (but does not believe in the Bible as "The Truth"), Active in the Community, Good-Natured, Kids Love Me (the sentiment is shared) , Honest, and supportive. In addition, I like to call myself a "goofy nutball." What that exactly means, I could not tell you, but it's pretty accurate.

Also, I'm a geek -- I love to do programming for learning and accomplishments' sake. I love to work with electronics, building fun but practical gizmos. I'm in a rock band -- have been since 1997; our band Bluefish has played locally throughout Sacramento. Our claim to fame was that we played for Governor Schwartzenegger's Debate Rally, opening for Dennis Miller, Vlade Divac, and a few local radio types -- the next week, we opened for Twisted Sister!

Personality

My personality. Hm. I like to think of myself as a traditionally 'nice guy.' I smile a lot; I have an optimistic outlook (for the most part). I have a lot of positive energy that I like to heap on my friends and family. Heh, my friends call me "The Fuzzy Bunny King," who lives in Fuzzy Bunny Kingdom. I like it; it definitely fits me. But, I don't think of myself as over-the-top saccharine-sweet "fuzzy." There's a definite, fine line between Barney's "I Love You" Kumbaya kinda fuzzy and the kind of fuzzy as I think of myself. Heh - in fact, between my nickname on the basketball court ("Energizer Bunny") and the Fuzzy Bunny King, I decided to get myself a tattoo.

Basketball

I absolutely love basketball. I love to play it, I love to watch it, I love to debate about it.. I believe it's the greatest team sport in the world. What other game forces five people to work together as much? Even though a single player may dominate any one possession, there will always be times where every player will have an opportunity to either score for themself, or to pass on that opportunity to a team member who has a better situational advantage - even if that player is not as good as the passer. What other game can be played with any even number of people from two to ten? Can be played inside or outside with only the barest of essential equipment? Has an incredible amount of strategy for such a simple goal? Requires strength, agility, and endurance, and yet can be played in a wheelchair? In short, I see basketball as a microcosm to life: we must depend upon our teammates and help make them better players in order to lift us all up. We can 'diss' them and treat them badly, but doing so only hurts ourselves and our eventual goal in the end.
